Pumpkin Picking Day One

We had two pumpkin picking outings two days in a row.  Both were super fun and quite the opposite as far as temperature goes.  I couldn’t believe we were sweating on this day.  I don’t think I remember sweating while picking pumpkins.  :-)

This was a MOPS outing at a cute farm in Red Bud.  They have fun playground equipment for the kids and lots of fun pumpkins to buy.  (Pretty great prices I might add!)

New Camera and Fun With Pictures

Sadly, our camera has gone on the fritz. So, happy birthday to us, we got a new camera. We are excited about the new camera, but have some learning to do to use it properly. So far I have had a lot of fun trying it out. The girls went out to play in the leaves the last couple of days with our beautiful weather. (Finally! After all of that rain!)

Silly girl!

Sweetie!

Love that smile!

Swing!

Can you tell where those leaves are about to go???? :-)

Fun, fun, fun!

I can't believe it is October! Time is definitely flying by.

Here are just a few things we have done in the last week:
*Our church had a three day revival and invited Travis Peterson, our good friend from college, to come and be the speaker. Of course, we had great services and everyone really enjoyed digging in to God's Word with Travis. AND, what luck, he happens to be married to my dear friend, Mitzi! :) So, we were able to spend a couple days together and do some homeschool activities together with our older girls. Jaylyn and Abigail are the same age and have both started kindergarten homeschool.

Mitzi and I had purchased a couple of lapbooks for homeschool at a homeschool conference we were at together. So, we did a couple of the activities together this week. This particular one was based on a Curious George story called, "George Rides a Bike". This is a picture of them making little stick puppets to re-inact the story. And of course, they also made up one of their own stories with the characters.

*I got to watch Mitzi make some of her new creations - her Tritzi's! (Tritzi is Travis and Mitzi put together) She is now selling these adorable hair creations which can also be made into pins. They are sooooo cute and you all need to buy some from her. :)

Here is a picture of one she made for Adley. It is not the best picture, so you will have to go check out her products at her site http://tritzi.wordpress.com or on Etsy at http://tritzi.etsy.com.

*Leighton is still growing and has even been caught this week with a thumb in her mouth about 3 times. Eekk!! She still rolls over all of the time and is trying to hold onto toys. I haven't had a chance to capture pictures of her doing these things yet, sorry!

*I did take them for pictures and will post those as soon as I get them.

*We went pumpkin picking with some MOPS gals today at a little farm house in Red Bud that is adorable. They are a steal compared with Eckerts! We are DEFINITELY going back there every year and will maybe even take Daddy there. They have a playground and some other cute stuff and the lady was sooooo sweet and gave the kids fall tattoos. Then all of us with our preschoolers went to the Pizza Hut! I think they were a little nervous about all of us. :)

*Then the girls and I were excited about fall and decided to get out our fall decorations and put them out in the midst of all of our mess and clutter I haven't got to yet! Ha!
