Leighton turned four months old last week. I still can't believe how fast she is growing.
*She is still super smiley. I love when she notices you looking at her and she just starts grinning her little squishy cheek grin.
*The girls still smother her with love. They actually fight over who gets to be in her face. They are the ones that really make her giggle. When she wakes up from her nap, they climb in the crib and play with her until I go and get her out. Jaylyn did that with Adley too.
*This past week, she has started to sleep from around 9 or 10 in the evening until 7 or 7:30 without wanting to eat! Praise the Lord! It really wasn't so bad previously when she would wake around 5ish. But, this is really great. God certainly knows what I can handle, and little sleep is not a part of that!
*For a while she was really talking in a high-pitched cat-like sound. She still talks a lot now, but not like her cat sounds.
*She had her 4 month check up and shots. She continues to be like her sisters and not get too cranky after shots. She was a little extra sleepy and had a few extra times where she would whine and moan, but overall, still pretty happy.
*She is always reaching for things and putting them to her mouth if she can.
*Still rolls over from back to front. I have wondered if she may have gone back the other way a couple times, but have not seen it happen yet Like this morning when I went in to get her, her head was at the other end of the crib and she was on her back. I am pretty sure she could not have made it all night and morning without rolling on to her belly. So, I am not sure if she stayed on her back the whole time or rolled back over at some point.
*She is 26.5" long which is in the 97% for height. (Jaylyn was the same length at this checkup. Adley was an inch shorter.)
*She weighs 14 lbs which is in the 61% for weight. (Jaylyn was 15lb 3oz, Adley was 14lbs 9.8oz)
*She sucks her thumb a lot!
*She has continued to be totally fine with a bottle when I have pumped.
*We are having so much fun with her!

Church News
We are so excited to share that our Pastor and his wife and their daughter are in China right now and got their new daughter one day EARLY. She is so cute! Eden Grace is now with her family. You can check out their news at www.ourgardenofeden.blogspot.com. We can't wait to meet her!
More Fall Fun
The girls wanted to decorate their pumpkins. They used whatever they could find! They had stickers, glitter glue, paint, markers and stamps. Fun, fun, fun!
Adley stayed in her pj's a long time this day. :-)
Jaylyn wants to be an artist when she grows up.
We headed to the big Chili Cookoff in Belleville to try some chili. . . and hotdogs. . . and ice cream. . . and cotton candy. . . and shish ka-bobs. :-)
We finally made it apple picking too.
We love to pick apples!
Jaylyn is great at picking.
Adley is great at eating.
Thankfully, Jaylyn's loose tooth came out so she could bite into the apple!
Yummy, juicy apples!
Cute to the core.
They are all cute, don't ya think?
Still - overwhelming Leighton with love!

Cuteness Caught on Camera
I was able to get some of Leighton's newest tricks on camera.
Watching her hands hold the toys
Sucking her thumb! We caught her doing it one time while we were at the dentist on Monday. She has done it a few times here or there this week. But, today she did it MOST of the day when her pacifier fell out.
Ha! Ha! I've got my thumb!

Twooth!
Tooth number two is now gone! I can't believe it. And the first new one is already coming up. She enjoyed showing the dentist when we were there this week.

Fun, fun, fun!
I can't believe it is October! Time is definitely flying by.
Here are just a few things we have done in the last week:
*Our church had a three day revival and invited Travis Peterson, our good friend from college, to come and be the speaker. Of course, we had great services and everyone really enjoyed digging in to God's Word with Travis. AND, what luck, he happens to be married to my dear friend, Mitzi! :) So, we were able to spend a couple days together and do some homeschool activities together with our older girls. Jaylyn and Abigail are the same age and have both started kindergarten homeschool.
Mitzi and I had purchased a couple of lapbooks for homeschool at a homeschool conference we were at together. So, we did a couple of the activities together this week. This particular one was based on a Curious George story called, "George Rides a Bike". This is a picture of them making little stick puppets to re-inact the story. And of course, they also made up one of their own stories with the characters.

(Tritzi is Travis and Mitzi put together) She is now selling these adorable hair creations which can also be made into pins. They are sooooo cute and you all need to buy some from her. :)
Here is a picture of one she made for Adley. It is not the best picture, so you will have to go check out her products at her site http://tritzi.wordpress.com or on Etsy at http://tritzi.etsy.com.
*Leighton is still growing and has even been caught this week with a thumb in her mouth about 3 times. Eekk!! She still rolls over all of the time and is trying to hold onto toys. I haven't had a chance to capture pictures of her doing these things yet, sorry!

*I did take them for pictures and will post those as soon as I get them.
*We went pumpkin picking with some MOPS gals today at a little farm house in Red Bud that is adorable. They are a steal compared with Eckerts! We are DEFINITELY going back there every year and will maybe even take Daddy there. They have a playground and some other cute stuff and the lady was sooooo sweet and gave the kids fall tattoos. Then all of us with our preschoolers went to the Pizza Hut! I think they were a little nervous about all of us. :)

*Then the girls and I were excited about fall and decided to get out our fall decorations and put them out in the midst of all of our mess and clutter I haven't got to yet! Ha!
