School Days

We are definitely in to the school swing now.  I can’t believe we have been going for over a month now.  Time needs to slow down!  We are homeschooling again with Jaylyn and still enjoying this adventure God has us on.  It is not always easy, but I appreciate having the time to be a family together growing in the Lord without as many distractions.  Jaylyn is now in second grade and is doing well.  She usually looks forward to any science experiment, activity that is creative or any learning that involves play!  Who wouldn’t!?  She is also taking a couple classes again at the homeschool group in St. Clair County.  She is doing a fun American Girl History class (taught by Shannon!) and a history class that goes along with our history curriculum we use at home.  Throw in Awanas at church on Sunday, gymnastics on Tuesday and Hiz Kidz choir on Wednesday and she stays a busy girl.

We actually did our first day together with Mitzi, Abigail and Josiah, but I didn’t get any pics!  But here is a couple of other activities she has worked on.

Adley has also started preschool again and loves every bit of it.  She is at the same preschool with Ms. Sheila (our pastor’s wife) again.  She also takes a couple classes at the homeschool group on Fridays.  She has a class called “Wee Little Rest” where they have an afternoon rest time enjoying a snack, songs, stories and a short movie.  She also has a lapbook class about a Curious George book.  She loves it all!  And when she is at home, she has to do her “school” too.  She joins in on some of Jaylyn’s activities, or I give her some of her own.  She has even had a field trip and one more this week.

And Leighton just joins in the fun wherever she can!  :-)
