I was so excited that my grandma came up with my mom and dad one day. It was a surprise visit. I don’t get to visit down their way that often, so we spend a lot of time missing Great Grandma Foster. :-) The girls were SUPER excited that she came. We had a blast! I even snagged a picture of us girls. She and Leighton almost shared the same birthday, but she was late by three days. Although, those two do share a love of shoes and purses. That is for sure. :-) We love you Grandma! Thanks for the special day!

Some Fun With Daddy
I recently went to a conference for a few days and the girls got to have some fun “mommy’s away” adventures. :-) They spent some time one day with my parents and then TJ took off work to go have fun with the girls. He is an awesome daddy and received many comments by others at how brave he was to take all three girls out. That is certainly no problem for a great dad like him. They covered Chuck E. Cheese, Magic House, Ice cream, and even the bank customer appreciation barbecue. AND he even managed to bring the camera along one day and took some pictures. Here are a few of them. . .
Yummy pizza! And a bib! I rarely even put a bib on! :-)
You gotta love Chuck E Cheese! (At least now that we don’t have to worry about children freaking out when seeing Chuck E. Hee hee!)
I know what she is thinking. . . “I have the best dad ever!” :-)
Looks like Leighton is thoroughly excited about this carousel ride.
I’m not sure I am excited to allow this picture me to think into the future. Hmmmm. . . Hopefully she will be taller by then.
Bubble!
A little shopping time.
Serving up some yummy ice cream
Adley’s turn!
Fun at the water table. Leighton was looking too big here!
Here I come!
And here too!
This was one of my favorite pics. TJ thought I would appreciate it. :-)
Too cute!
Ready to work!
“me too!. . . maybe after I suck my thumb. . .”
Spiky bangs!
Well, I guess they were fine without me. I think I will be heading out again next week. :-)

Apple Pickin’
We made it out to do our annual apple picking a couple weeks ago. The girls couldn’t wait another day to get out there! Here are pictures of our crunchy apple-icious fun. . . Fill ‘er up!
Thank You, God, for these apples. :-)
Hard to take a bite out of these apples with a tooth super loose!
Life Walk/Run 2010
As I have shared already, this year I decided to go for my first run instead of just walking. I really never thought I would even utter those words. I am really NOT a fan of running. I have never really done any distance running. I ran all the time for basketball in high school, but that was mostly just sprinting and lets just say it has been a while since those athletic days. So, the day finally came to give it a whirl. Let’s just say that I was already breathing really loudly fairly quickly and I was not hearing any loud breathing from anyone running by me. :-0 But, I was able to run for a little bit past the first mile and then I alternated running and walking until the end. WAY too many hills. That was the killer. It was at least half hills. Ugh! But, I made it and it was a great turn out for many others there to take a stand for LIFE! It definitely didn’t come close to any medals except the “I love you anyway” medal my sweet mother-in-law gave me. :-) TJ won third in his age bracket. Of course, he didn’t really do much training. I know he could win the whole thing if he actually ran more than 5 times to prepare for the next race. :-) I have a hard time not being annoyed by that. Ha! I had two friends who I talked into coming. They both beat me and Rachel won second in our age bracket. I believe it was her first time doing a 5K! Hooray! TJ says I will have to do it next year. I think this might be a little like the whole child birth thing. It might be too close to the torture to think about doing it all over again. Heh!
Here is me and Rachel after the race. We did it! I didn’t get a picture with Nicole. And, I did receive a picture from my mother-in-law that they took of me finishing the race, but I am NOT posting that one. :-)

Adley’s First Day of Preschool
This much anticipated day finally arrived. This is the same preschool in town that Jaylyn attended. Our pastor’s wife is the teacher there which is awesome. Adley kept asking me if this was where I left her there by herself. I would say, “yes. . . you stay and we leave” and she would cheer! :-) She is a little more excited about socializing than her bigger sister. Hee hee! I could already observe this one day while peeking in the window at her before pick-up. She was too busy trying to slide next to a new friend and talking to her while Ms. Sheila was trying to get their attention. She is definitely distracted easily so hopefully she will gain some focusing skills. :-) Ms. Sheila said she was a little chatty. Ha! Of course, she is a girl and she is three. What else would you expect? So far, she loves it. She has a friend from church that goes there who is one of her best friends. The rest are all new friends for her which is fine with her. She is very eager to learn and works very hard to color and write her letters and numbers well. I think it will be a great year. (And we have been able to get quite a lot of school with Jaylyn accomplished while Adley is at preschool. . . hmmmmmm)
Ready to go in her new fancy Tinkerbell backpack WITH flower skirt. :-)
I can’t wait!
Steps at school
Back pack hook
Hanging up her name
Coloring the dots on the bear
We love the zoo
Just a couple pics from a beautiful day at the zoo over the Labor Day weekend. We also stopped in at the Art Museum so we could look at the mummies since we have been studying Ancient Egypt. Those are always pretty cool. Then we had a visit from Uncle Scott!
Leighton checking out the chimps!
Jaylyn is growing about as tall as a giraffe it seems sometimes
Checking it out
Then a nice ride by Uncle Scott
I have never been nice enough to put them all in and pull them. :-) But, Uncle Scott is!

Kites
Over Labor Day weekend, we headed to the park in the evening just before the wind was dying down. The girls got a bit of kite flying in that night and had a blast.
Jaylyn’s went down.
Come on kite!
This is fun!
Why am I stuck in this stroller???
Hi, Mom!
Kites!
Get it up!
Adley started pushing her around the field
This is awesome!!!!
