(This is not meant to be sad.)
Well, today is the due date for the baby we lost in June. It is kind of crazy that I had my miscarriage in my 13th week and that is the week that I am in right now. But, my point of jotting down these thoughts is not to be sad, (although, I'm pregnant and hormonal which means it doesn't take much to make me cry so yes, there are some tears while I type. Ha!) but to remember once again the glory of God who can bring such encouragement even through the saddest of times. Even now, I still have the large stack of cards that were sent to me. I still have many who ask about how we are doing. But, as I said before, even though I really did not want to lose a baby, God certainly used that experience to flood our lives with love and encouragement that we would not have felt otherwise. And now, of course, we have another little blessing on the way to add to the two wonderful blessings we already have. How could I ask for more!?
There are a couple of poems that some other moms that have been through miscarriages sent me. They are very sweet and maybe you will know someone else to pass them on to.
God's Loving Grace
We remember the day we found out we'd be blessed,
With a gift from God that could not compare to the rest.
So much is changing from just one little life,
What a blessing for this husband and wife.
Parents we became and plans we did make,
But, little did we know our hearts, they would break.
It's hard to imagine you could love someone more,
Even though we never met, the bond was for sure.
Only God knows His will for our lives and this was part of His plan,
He heals our broken hearts like no one else can.
through all of this pain, He has reminded us of one thing,
He is our Lord and Saviour, our one perfect King.
We know He will bless us, He already has,
In so many ways and through so many paths.
We loved you so much from the minute you became,
Even though you never even had a name.
We hope you knew what a blessing you were,
Our love for you was nothing but pure.
But we do know one day we will see your precious little face,
This we know because of God's Loving Grace.
(This one was actually written by a dear friend of mine when she just had a miscarriage with their first child. Amazing words. . . By the way, now she has an ADORABLE baby boy. Thanks, Mary.)We remember the day we found out we'd be blessed,
With a gift from God that could not compare to the rest.

The next one does not have a title or an author mentioned. But, I know it was passed to my friend who always passes it on when she hears someone has gone through the same thing.
We never knew
Or saw
Or touched
The little miracle
Growing inside of you.
Only you knew
And felt
The real bond of love
That grew. . .
And has now
Been replaced by
An aching emptiness.
So. . .go ahead and grieve.
Your loss is real,
And the pain
Must seem unbearable.
But, until your grief
Is softened,
Know that
The Lord's love
And comfort
Are there for you. . .
and so are many prayers.
Or saw
Or touched
The little miracle
Growing inside of you.
Only you knew
And felt
The real bond of love
That grew. . .
And has now
Been replaced by
An aching emptiness.
So. . .go ahead and grieve.
Your loss is real,
And the pain
Must seem unbearable.
But, until your grief
Is softened,
Know that
The Lord's love
And comfort
Are there for you. . .
and so are many prayers.
There was also a couple friends that gave me a cd by Watermark that has a song written when she also lost a baby. It is called "Glory Baby". It is such a sweet song and this is a link to a posting on youtube that someone made and it has all of the lyrics. Also, wonderful words. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyd8vnuOdzI
So, today I remember God's Loving Grace.
